Twelve ASC members took a weekend away from the club on May 3-4 to embark on a kayaking adventure. We paddled just over 28 miles on the Savannah River covering the area between Little Hell Landing (yes, we all went to Little Hell and back!) and Cowen’s Landing. We overnighted with the hospitable folks at Red Bluff Lodge who treated us like country royalty – delivering us to and from the river and feeding us exceptionally well! We saw about 2 dozen alligators, herons, Mississippi kites, Ospreys and countless cooters. We also saw some stunning stretches of river and a brea thtaking stand of cypress trees.
